AutoIndex version 2.0 requires PHP 5 to be installed on the server.
Currently, most hosts use PHP 4.

If you don't have PHP5, you'll get an error like this after running the configuration:

Fatal error: Cannot instantiate non-existent class: configdata in index.php on line 133


So if you don't have PHP 5, you'll have to stick with AutoIndex 1.x (which will still continue to be developed along with AutoIndex2).
